BitMine Pushes Ethereum Holdings to 5.81 Million Coins as Total Assets Approach $11.6 Billion
BitMine Immersion Technologies added 7,391 ETH to its treasury this week, bringing its holdings to 5,805,238 ETH, or about 4.8% of total ETH supply, according to the company’s August 10 disclosure. Total crypto, cash, and equity holdings reached $11.6 billion, up from $11.3 billion the previous week. The company has staked roughly 87% of its ETH holdings through its own validator network and repurchased 3.0 million shares over the week as part of its ongoing buyback program.
Strategy Adjusts Its Bitcoin and Reserve Position
Strategy sold 1,690 bitcoin for $108.6 million between August 3 and August 9, leaving its holdings at 840,447 BTC, according to its SEC filing. The company also raised $653.1 million through share sales, directing $650 million into its USD Reserve, which reached $4.65 billion. Proceeds from the bitcoin sale were used to repurchase $108.6 million of its STRC preferred stock, continuing a recent pattern of reserve and buyback activity.
Bitcoin’s Mined Supply Passes 20.07 Million Coins
Bitcoin’s issued supply has reportedly passed 20.07 million coins, leaving less than 5% of its maximum 21 million supply still to be mined. The milestone renews discussion around Bitcoin’s fixed issuance schedule and the difference between total supply and actively available supply.
