Sign in to your BitOasis account easily with TOTP

We are pleased to announce to all our users that we have introduced a new TOTP verification method to log in. In order to set up TOTP, please follow the below easy steps:

Step 1: Download Google Authenticator to your iOS or Android mobile device. If you already have the app downloaded, please proceed to Step 2.

Step 2: Login to your BitOasis account. If you do not have a BitOasis account, please sign up here.

Step 3: Once logged in, hover over your username on the top right corner and click on ‘Settings’ from the drop-down menu.

Step 4: Click on ‘TOTP Devices’ and then on ‘Setup new device’.

Step 5: A 6-digit verification code will be sent to your registered mobile number. Please enter the verification code in the box provided and click ‘Continue’.


Step 6: Open ‘Google Authenticator’ on your mobile device and either scan the barcode or enter the code manually. Name your device, enter the TOTP code, and click ‘Authorize and Save’. If you do not have ‘Google Authenticator’, please refer to Step 1 for the download links.

Kindly note, if you opt to disable the ‘Send me SMS instead’ option and you lose access to your registered mobile device, you will be unable to access your account. In order to regain access, you will need to contact our support team.

Step 7: Login to your BitOasis account again. Once you enter your username, password and click ‘Sign in’, you will be taken to an ‘Enter TOTP code’ screen. Please open Google Authenticator on your mobile device, enter the 6-digit code in the box provided, and click ‘Sign in’ to login to your account.

Please note, Google Authenticator generates a new code every 30 seconds.

In case you prefer us to send you an SMS, please click the ‘Send me SMS instead’ option at the bottom. You will not see this option if you have disabled the option in Step 6.

Coin deposit guidelines on BitOasis trading exchange

To deposit digital assets from an external wallet, you’ll find your coin receiving addresses by clicking on the “Deposit Coins” page. It is important to note the following when you are depositing coins:

1- Coins transferred to the wrong address or ETH deposited from smart contract with only an equivalent amount of 10k USD or higher, will be recovered. It usually takes 4-6 weeks to recover lost funds. $150 recovery fee is applied for any recovery; the equivalent amount will be deducted from the recovered amount. An Additional 10% fee is required if BCH was sent to BTC segwit address.

2- Each coin has its unique address. The below information is necessary to identify your payment, please do not do deposit without this information;
BTC: when depositing BTC, you’ll need to make sure you are transferring to a BTC address.
BCH: When depositing BCH, you need to make sure you are sending BCH. Please always double-check the address type before doing a deposit.
XMR: Depositing XMR requires adding a unique payment ID.
XRP: Depositing XRP requires adding a unique tag.

3- ETH smart contract deposits ARE NOT SUPPORTED on BitOasis trading exchange. We do not support any ECR20 tokens. If you are unsure if your deposit will be sent by smart contract, please contact the sender before doing a deposit.

4- We do not support USDT deposits or deposits to any coins that are not listed on the “Deposit” page. If you are unsure if you can deposit a certain coin, please get in touch with our support team.

Bitcoin Cash FAQ

1- What is Bitcoin Cash (BCH)?

Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is a direct result of Bitcoin (BTC) fork that took place on August 1st, 2017. For more information about BCH, please visit https://www.bitcoincash.org.

2- Am I eligible for BCH on BitOasis.net?

Only users who had BTC balances on BitOasis wallet and trading exchange at the time of the fork will be eligible for an equal quantity of BCH to their corresponding BTC holdings.

3- Where will I receive my BCH tokens?

– If your BTC at the time of the fork was on the trading exchange platform, you will receive an equal amount of BCH reflected on your trading exchange account balance.

– If your BTC at the time of the fork was on the BitOasis wallet and you’re a verified customer based in one of the following countries: UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, or Oman, you can deposit your BCH funds into the trading exchange or withdraw your BCH funds to an external Bitcoin Cash wallet.

– If your BTC at the time of the fork was on the BitOasis wallet and your account is not fully verified and you are based in one of the following countries: UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, or Oman, you will need to verify your account by clicking on the “Increase Limits” page on the “Buy Bitcoin” tab to deposit your BCH funds into the trading exchange or you can withdraw your BCH funds to an external Bitcoin Cash wallet.

– If you’re a non-GCC customer that does not have access to the BitOasis trading exchange platform, you can only withdraw your BCH funds to an external Bitcoin Cash wallet.

4- I can’t seem to access BitOasis trading platform. What’s wrong?

If you’re a UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, or Oman based customer, you can verify your account to be able to access and deposit your BCH tokens to the trading exchange platform.

If you’re a non-GCC customer that does not have access to the BitOasis trading exchange platform, you can only withdraw your BCH funds to an external Bitcoin Cash wallet.

5- Can I store my BCH tokens on BitOasis wallet?

No, Bitcoin Cash is currently only supported on BitOasis trading platform and not on BitOasis wallet.

6- What happens if I send my BCH to a bitcoin address?

BitOasis is not responsible for redeeming or recovering any BCH tokens sent to the wrong address. Please make sure that you are sending your BCH tokens to the right BCH address.

7- When is the deadline to recover my BCH tokens?

The final date to recover your BCH tokens will be July 31st, 2018.

Important FAQ: Account verification & higher limits requests

1. I submitted my verification request on BitOasis and it’s been weeks already. What do I need to do to get verified?

If you submitted a verification request during this period and still want your account to get verified, please help us prioritize your verification by following the steps below:

  • • Click Submit at the bottom of your application to get re-submitted and prioritized on our verification queue.

2. After re-submitting my verification request, when do I expect to get verified?

We are prioritizing verification requests based on their original submission date. Resubmitted verifications between Dec 10th – 17th have already been processed.

If your application has been originally filled between Dec 10th to Dec 17th, 2017 and you’ve resubmitted it as explained in Question 1 above, rest assured we’ll be prioritizing your application on our queue to make sure it’s processed within 24-48 hours. However, please make sure it’s RESUBMITTED before you reach out to our customer support team (refer to question 1 above).

If your application has been originally filled between Dec 18th to Dec 24th, 2017 and you have resubmitted your request already, please allow 5-7 working days from resubmission date until we process your request. Your resubmission request will be prioritized based on original submission date.

3. Why is BitOasis experiencing all these delays verifying my account?

Since the recent rise in the price of Bitcoin and Ethereum, we have experienced tremendous growth in user sign-ups and verifications on our platform. Due to the unprecedented growth in user activity, we have experienced delays in verifying and on-boarding new customers. Rest assured we’re trying to move as quickly as possible through the outstanding verifications backlog and adding new resources to keep up with the growth.

To make sure we get as quickly as possible to your outstanding verification request, please check Question 1 and 2.

4. You stopped the verification process for new customers. Why is that?

We’re happy to have you as a new customer and look forward to on-boarding you soon, however, due to the surge in user sign-ups we had to currently pause the verification process for new customers to make sure we onboard and verify customers who’ve already submitted their requests between Dec 10th to Dec 24th, 2017.

Currently, we can’t onboard you to use BitOasis with a higher weekly limit. Please check Question 6 on when we’ll be opening up verifications again.

5. What’s my weekly limit now before submitting my full verification request?

Your weekly deposit limit is 1,500AED. You won’t be able to sell any bitcoins until your account is fully verified.

6. When will new users be able to submit verification requests?

We have temporarily paused account verifications for new customers due to the surge in user activity. We expect to re-enable verifications within the next 1-2 weeks. Please stay tuned as we’ll be communicating this date on our platform.

7. Can I apply for a higher deposit/withdrawal weekly limit on my account?

Due to the recent surge in demand and user sign-ups, we are temporarily pausing applications for higher deposit/withdrawal weekly limits on our platform.

Important FAQ: Deposits & Withdrawals to ENBD Accounts

– What is the issue with BitOasis customers that hold EmiratesNBD (ENBD) accounts?

Customers registered with ENBD accounts on BitOasis are no longer able to do deposits and withdrawals on their BitOasis accounts.

Unfortunately, in the recent weeks, we noticed that ENBD has started randomly returning or blocking our customers’ transfers and withdrawals due to an internal policy within the bank that is out of our control. This has caused a major disruption to our customers, where some have been forced to change bank accounts to continue using our service.

– What is BitOasis doing to fix this?

This is purely an internal policy decision taken by ENBD and is not caused by any service interruptions on our platform. Our platform continues supporting other banks in UAE and across GCC as usual.

– When will this ENBD issue be resolved?

Unfortunately, we have no control over this issue as it’s strictly related to ENBD’s internal policies. At this point, we don’t think this will be resolved by ENBD anytime soon.

– I have another bank in UAE/GCC region, can I use this account instead of ENBD?

Yes. You can use other UAE/GCC based bank accounts you personally own, with the exception of Mashreq Bank. Sign in to your account on BitOasis.net and feel free to change your ENBD banking details by clicking on the “Deposit Money” page on the “Buy Bitcoin” tab.

– I only have one bank account and it’s with ENBD, how can I withdraw my funds

We apologize for the inconvenience. However, the issue is not from our end and it’s strictly related to ENBD’s internal policies. Please feel free to submit a complaint to your bank. In the meantime, you can either redeem your voucher to digital assets, send your funds to an external wallet or open a new bank account in the GCC area.

– Will my account be verified even if my bank details are registered with ENBD?

Yes, your account will be verified with ENBD bank details.

– Can I buy using my credit/debit card from ENBD?

Yes, you can buy with a weekly limit of 20,000 AED via credit/debit card.

Clarification on Bitcoin’s Upcoming Hardfork (Segwit2x)

We would like to inform our customers that next month (Nov. 2017) an upcoming hardfork called Segwit2x is scheduled to take place on the bitcoin network. This hardfork will most likely result in two blockchains. This means that all of our customers that have a bitcoin balance at the time of the Segwit2x hardfork will have bitcoins on both chains after the hardfork is completed.

To protect our customers’ holdings during the hardfork, we will be disabling all bitcoin deposits and withdrawals on our exchange for 24 hours or until the network fully stabilizes. This also includes sending and receiving bitcoins on customers multi-sig wallets. Trading on our exchange may also be halted if necessary.

If you have a bitcoin balance with BitOasis before the hardfork, our goal is to ultimately give you access to your bitcoins on both blockchains, as well as allow you to trade them on our exchange. We will provide our customers more details about how they can access their bitcoins on both blockchains in November.

Bitcoin Cash Hardfork FAQ

1- What is going to happen on August 1st?

Bitcoin Cash (BCC) is a hardfork proposal that will take effect on August 1st. This is going to create a split in the Bitcoin network and will result in creating two copies of coins – Bitcoin (BTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCC).

2- What is going to happen to my bitcoins (BTC) that are currently stored with BitOasis after August 1st?

Your bitcoins (BTC) will remain safely stored in BitOasis wallets and exchange during the hardfork and after August 1st. You will continue to have the same BTC balance that you had before the August 1st date.

3- Am I going to get a copy of BCC coins from BitOasis after the bitcoin network split on August 1st?

Currently, we are not planning to support BCC coins in the BitOasis wallet. Hence, you should not expect to receive a copy of BCC tokens from BitOasis after August 1st. In the future, we may choose to support BCC coins depending on market conditions and developments.

4- What if I want access to my BCC tokens?

If you want access to the BCC tokens that will result from the hardfork then we urge you to withdraw your BTC assets from BitOasis wallets and exchange before July 31st, 21:00 UTC and send them to a service that either allows you to hold your own private keys or will give you access to BCC tokens and blockchain. Withdrawals will be disabled after July 31st, 21:00 UTC and you will not be able to withdraw your funds after this time.

5- Can I still use BitOasis on August 1st to transact and trade my bitcoins (BTC)?

You will still be able to sign in to your account as usual. However, we will be temporarily disabling all deposits, withdrawals of BTC coins starting at 21:00 UTC time on July 31. We may also halt trading and buy/sell services if necessary. This is mainly to ensure the safety of our customers BTC coins during the upcoming network split. Your bitcoins will be stored safely and you should be able to view your balance anytime on August 1st. But you will not be able to send, receive, deposit or withdraw any bitcoins (BTC) during that time until the split is completed and the network has stabilized.

6- When should I expect to be able to transact with bitcoin (BTC) after the August 1st date?

We will send another update after the August 1st date with more information about when our customer can resume transacting with bitcoins.

7- Can I still use BitOasis to buy and sell ethereum (ETH) during this August 1st period?

Yes, ETH transactions will be unaffected by the Bitcoin network split. You will be able to deposit, withdraw, buy, and sell ETH during this period.

8- How about my AED voucher balance at BitOasis?

Your AED voucher balance will also be unaffected by this event. You will be able to deposit and withdraw any AED Dirhams during this time. You will also be able to buy and trade ETH tokens using your AED voucher balance.

How to trade BTC, ETH, LTC and Ripple on trading exchange?

As soon as you log into your BitOasis account, you’ll see a notification on your wallet Dashboard that will direct you to our new trading platform.

– If you are a new user to the exchange, you can either deposit BTC from your BitOasis personal wallet or deposit (ETH, LTC or XRP) from any other external wallet you use. If you don’t have any balance at all then start by “Depositing Money” into the exchange by initiating a wire transfer manually to our bank account.

– To deposit with Dirhams, please click on “ Deposit”, then select “ Money Deposit “ you’ll start by filling in the AED amount you choose. The voucher is a way to add AED credits to your account that you can trade to BTC, ETH, LTC or Ripple any time you want.

– After we confirm receiving your voucher payment, your AED balance will be updated with your AED credits that you can immediately trade to bitcoin/ethereum/ripple/litecoin at the exchange rate available (by placing a Market order) or the exchange rate you want (by placing a Limit order).

– To buy bitcoin/ethereum/ripple/litecoin select “Buy”, select the type of trade you want to do, populate the amount of BTC/ETH/XRP/LTC you want to buy and check the total price.

– There are two types of trading orders. You can either place a “Market” order that allows you to buy and sell at the market price that is available that moment or you can place a “Limit” order which gives you the flexibility to exactly state at what price you want your bitcoins to be executed.

1- You start by depositing with Dirhams, please click on the “ Deposit Money” page on the “Buy Bitcoin” tab. You’ll start by filling in the AED amount you choose. The voucher is a way to add AED credits to your wallet that you can trade to Bitcoin any time you want.

2- After selecting voucher amount to proceed with payment by initiating a wire transfer manually with the AED amount to our bank (You’ll find our bank details on the 2nd page of the buy bitcoin tab) or pay using credit/debit cards.

3- We’ll receive your payment on the same day or next business day if you’re sending from UAE. If not, it may take up to 1-3 business days.

4- After we confirm receiving your payment, your AED balance is updated with your AED credits that you can immediately convert (Redeem) to bitcoin at the exchange rate available.
